About Hanna

My name is Hanna.  I grew up in Sweden and spent my first 19 years there. In 2011 I moved to Nottingham in the UK to study Neuroscience at the University of Nottingham. After two years there I moved back to Sweden temporarily to do a placement in Stockholm as a part of my degree. Then I completed my fourth and final year in Nottingham an graduated with an MSci in Neuroscience. Now, my boyfriend Phill and I have moved to Glasgow, where I will do a PhD and he will study Digital and Graphic design.

I love writing, both blog posts, poetry and fiction. In fact, writing has been one of my greatest interests for almost as long as I have known how to write. I was always that weird kid who actually enjoyed the literature lessons at school (in my case mainly Swedish and English). I also kept diaries and wrote silly little stories in my free time.

In addition to writing, there are two main questions which I feel passionate about; one is equality and the other one is to raise the awareness of mental health issues and to remove stigma and stereotypes around different psychological/psychiatric and neurological diagnoses.
